The Howling Mystic
It has been said that if you howl at the moon three times every night, for a complete cycle of the moon-ending when it's full, a great wise wolf will appear to you in a dream. It's great howl will reveal to you sounds of your future.
One of many who has done this claims that it works. She says that the last night she howled, a large, white wolf appeared to her. It only stared for a moment and then let out a loud howl that faded into multiple sounds.
She recalls hearing laughter, bells, multiple babies' cries and then an older voice wailing mournfully. She has now been married for ten years and has two children and expecting a third. Her mother was recently diagnosed with cancer and is extremely sick.
Another tale is of a young man who followed this ritual, yet, the only thing he heard in the great wolf's howl was a fierce roar of wind and screaming and then only silence. The man was killed three weeks later in a plane crash.
A third well-known tale is quite sad. A young girl who was very skeptical, decided to try the ritual, if only to prove that it didn't exist. But to her surprise the wolf came to her, and in it's howl she heard screaming, growling and the sound of tearing. She awoke in a panic and immediately woke her parents. They told her it was just a bad dream and not to worry, but to go back to sleep. The daughter reluctantly obeyed and the next morning the parents found her twisted and askew in her bed wrapped in the covers, cuts all over body and stone cold. The autopsy revealed that she had died of fright, but not before clawing at her own flesh during what they figured must have been a terrible nightmare.
Many other tales exist, some ending in happiness, others in tragedy... But, one question remains-Does it really work? Is it just coincidence, or is there another force at work? Perhaps the stories aren't even true... Only you can know the real truth...

Wow! Did you write this? If not, please give attribution.
I don't think this is something I would like to try since no one seems to have a happy ending.
